Given the importance of striatal activity for movement, nVista is ideal for assessing striatal function during freely moving behavioral assays. The patterning of activity within the striatum has proven quite amenable to Ca2+ imaging and has allowed us to analyze activity patterns across the various striatal cell types and regions in completely novel ways.
